Public Lecture Series 2 Physics Study Program: "machine Learning, From Computational Physics To The 2024 Nobel Prize In Physics"

The Physics Study Program of Tanjungpura University has once again stolen the spotlight by successfully holding the 2nd Series of Public Lectures entitled "Machine Learning, from Computational Physics to the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics" on Wednesday, 13 November 2024. The offline event was held in the Senate Room of FMIPA UNTAN, and a unique resource person, Jimmy, Ph.D., an expert in the field of computing, was presented. Jimmy is an alumnus of Physics UNTAN and continued his master's and Doctoral studies in Europe with an Erasmus scholarship.

In this session, participants were invited to explore how machine learning revolutionized modern physics research, including its essential role in this year's Nobel Prize in Physics. This public lecture equipped students with new insights and motivated them to explore collaborations between physics and technology.

The participants' enthusiasm was evident from the interactive discussions that took place warmly throughout the event. With the spirit of multidisciplinary collaboration, the Physics Study Program of UNTAN continues to be committed to presenting academic activities that are inspiring and relevant to the latest scientific developments.
