The Physics Study Program of Tanjungpura University once again held an industrial lecture activity that focused on applying physics in the medical field. This activity occurred on 16 October 2024 at Tanjungpura University Hospital, presenting students to understand how physics concepts are used in medical technology.

In this lecture, students were invited to explore using physics-based diagnostic and therapeutic tools, such as medical imaging, radiotherapy, and sensor technology. Tanjungpura University Hospital staff explained in depth the working principles of tools such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans and the critical role of medical physicists in improving the quality of health services.

In addition to gaining theoretical insight, students also had the opportunity to visit several medical technology facilities in the hospital. With the guidance of a professional hospital team, they learned about the operation of modern medical devices and the challenges faced in applying physics in a natural work environment.

This activity aims to broaden the insights of physics students about various career opportunities, especially in the field of medical physics, as well as to increase the connection between the theories learned in class and their applications in everyday life.

Through this industrial lecture, Physics students of Tanjungpura University will be more motivated to develop themselves and contribute to advancing science in the health sector.
